The guide combines preserved VoyageOwl stories, regional climate data, calculated daylight and a short mapped route. Each has a different level of certainty.

• City stories and audio. The original Annecy walking guide is preserved. New headings and family missions are editorial suggestions; historical claims and access details have not all been independently rechecked.
• Climate. NASA POWER daily data for this city center, retrieved 2026-09-09. We aggregate 2001–2020 daily maximum and minimum temperatures into monthly average highs and lows. Monthly precipitation totals and counts of days with at least 1 mm are averaged across 20 years. NASA processing documentation.
• Regional resolution. MERRA-2 meteorology uses a 0.5° latitude × 0.625° longitude grid. Coastal and mountain conditions can vary substantially within one cell. Adjacent cities can share data; these values do not describe individual streets or provide a forecast.
• Daylight. NOAA approximate solar equations, evaluated at 45.8992, 6.1294. Times use Europe/Paris with daylight saving. A level horizon is assumed. Results do not establish visibility, cloud cover or site opening hours.
• Temperature preference. Celsius is the fallback. An approximate visitor country, when available, selects the customary unit; a manual choice is saved on the device and always wins. No precise location is requested.
• Walking route. Publisher-authored waypoints from the original public tour map; pedestrian directions from Valhalla using OpenStreetMap data under ODbL. Retrieved 2026-09-09. Geometry and waypoint distances were checked on a map; no field or accessibility audit. Download the attributed route data.
• Airport and onward travel. Geneva official transport information and rail journey planning. Orientation checked 9 September 2026; follow operator links for current fares, timetables and disruptions.
