Give guests a starting point
A helpful welcome sheet answers three immediate questions: where can I begin exploring, where can I find practical information, and how do I reach the host through the agreed channel? Keep it short enough to read after a journey.
The editor below starts with a sample structure. Add only places and instructions you have checked. Do not put door codes, private contact details, or other sensitive access information in a sheet intended for public sharing.
What belongs on one page
Use a neighborhood name, a short personal welcome, two or three checked local suggestions, and one guide link. Distinguish your own recommendation from information in the linked guide. Put a checked-on date beside practical details that can change.
Include a plain-text link under the QR code so the sheet remains usable if scanning fails. The QR is generated in your browser and links directly to the selected VoyageOwl guide; it is not a tracking service or a reservation.
A sample welcome
“Welcome to [neighborhood]. When you are ready for a first look around, start with [nearby public landmark]. We have left a few practical notes below and a link to a free city guide. Please check current opening times and local signs before setting out.”
Local notes: [checked grocery or café suggestion]; [nearest useful transport stop and where to verify service]; [host’s agreed communication channel]. Replace the brackets with accurate details before printing.
Print and check the actual sheet
Choose the guide, edit the welcome and local notes, then use Print welcome sheet. In the browser’s print dialog you can save a PDF. Scan the printed QR with a phone and confirm the destination before giving it to guests.
The linked archived walking guide may be a collection of highlights rather than a verified continuous route. Read its route notes and do not label the sheet step-free, offline-ready, or suitable for every traveler unless that has been established.
