Morning: old town and canals

Choose the castle only if you want the uphill detour and have checked current admission. Otherwise stay with the lower-town circuit. This choice makes the day flexible without requiring a car.
Lunch and an easy lakefront afternoon
Take a meal break before continuing toward Jardins de l’Europe, Pont des Amours, and the Pâquier. These places form the lakefront part of the plan; use the official visitor map to choose the exact crossings and paths.
